Are you a wordsmith and have sailed with SeaTrek before? We would like to invite you to contribute to our list of published blog posts.

How to contribute:

  1. Topics

We encourage you to write based on your own experience sailing with us, describing how you feel through engaging stories. Take your pick from the list of topics below:

  • Travel experience
  • Humour
  • Education
  • Motivation
  • Conservation
  • History
  • Culture
  • Adventure & Fun
  • Wildlife
  • Sailing

  1. Short Pitch

Send a short pitch to nita@seatrekbali.com for feedback. We don’t need a full draft just yet at this stage. It is highly recommended for the pitch to be as simple and straightforward as possible.

  1. Draft

When we’re all on the same page, you may start the creative process in writing your best piece and submit the draft once you’re finished. While we don’t like to put a word count on our posts, we do prefer to keep them between 500 to 2000 word range to keep it comprehensive and easy to read. However, we could consider something shorter or longer depends on the circumstances.

  1. Media element

Any supporting image or video is more than welcome but not a necessary requirement. We can provide images or videos from our own media library. Whenever possible, we use multimedia content to break up the blog post to keep our readers engaged and with us in the online battle for the reader's attention.

  1. Headline

You may or may not provide a headline for the post. We do love an attention-grabber or “sticky” headline. But no need to stress too much about this, we can help you brainstorm some ideas for the headline that will easily generate clicks.

  1. Author bio and photo

Your bio and headshot will be featured alongside the published article. Inclusion of links to your own website and social media is more than welcome.

  1. Publication

Your article will be published on SeaTrek website www.seatrekbali.com and you will be notified once it’s made on our live site. We will also promote it on our social media.

  1. Reward

Trip discount and a featured presenter.

Terms and Conditions:

  1. Original and unpublished work

Please don’t submit posts already published on your blog or elsewhere. We do check and if it’s not original, it’s not accepted.

  1. Reference and source

Proper attribution of data, quotations, and outside content referenced in the article.

  1. Article edit

We reserved the right to edit the content. Something that is also good to note is that we do not accept anything that’s offensive or inaccurate.

  1. Republishing

When the article is published on our website, it is then owned by us and you are not permitted to re-publish the full version of your post to your own blog or on any other channels both online or offline. However, you may repost a portion of the post with our prior written approval and you are also required to include the link to the original post.

  1. Call to Action

SeaTrek has the right to use a CTA at the end of the post whether it’s advice, a content offer, or a link to another related blog post.

  1. Post Audit

SeaTrek reserved the right to audit guest posts from time to time, in order to keep our site content fresh and relevant. This may involve adding, editing, or removing text, links, or images; refreshing, redirecting, or consolidating with other articles; or removing the article from publication. In the event that a post is audited, we will make every effort to maintain as much of the original as possible.

  1. By submitting an article, you agree that SeaTrek can use it on our website (with any amends we deem suitable) and you will not claim for payment or copyright infringement now or in the future.
