PLAY IS LEARNING

On board, there will be interactive and educational nightly presentations on the wildlife we will see along the way in preparation for the following day’s activities. Hear about the ecology of the Ring of Fire and learn about the importance of wildlife and habitat conservation. Learn about animal camouflage and how to spot animals in the wild wherever they may be hiding – bring your binoculars if you have them – and draw the wildlife that you see with art classes with accomplished painter and illustrator Angela.

SWIMMING WITH WHALE SHARKS - THE GENTLE GIANTS OF THE SEA

One of the major highlights of our trips is the opportunity to swim with whale sharks, manta rays and sea turtles in their natural habitat.

No trip to Komodo National Park is complete without an encounter with the fearsome Komodo Dragons, giant lizards that grow up to three metres in length and can kill with a single bite. Let us take you on an early morning ranger-led trek through the dragons’ natural habitats in the forests of the ancient Komodo Island.

GET TO KNOW THE LOCALS

You will also visit local villages where you can learn about the fascinating cultures and traditions of Indonesia’s diverse communities. This is in addition to spending nine days in the company of our friendly and fun all-Indonesian crew and your tour leaders.

DON’T JUST TAKE OUR WORD FOR IT
