Testimonials
All the strongest marketing language and Photoshop skills can’t compete with the physical word-of-mouth comments of those people who have actually cruised with us and enjoyed the SeaTrek experience. Here’s a sample of the things that people have said about our voyages...Talk about paradise! The Katharina is a dream of a boat, elegant, comfortable, safe… you feel like you are living the dream you had when you were little…
To say that these ten days have been wonderful is an understatement, one could properly only speak in superlatives! Green islands, blue seas (…) will definitely be back!
Our trip on the Katharina was even more exciting than we could imagine. We had a dream time with a dream team.
One of the best holiday trips of my life. First-class crew, unique food, everyday a new adventure, a new experience…
From day one we had the experience of a lifetime, days blended into nights into days, often to the point you wondered what day it was…
My husband David and myself and our two friends John and Glenda Wood were lucky enough to sail on the Katharina recently when we did the Komodo cruise on 4 October. It was a wonderful holiday. I can’t speak highly enough of your crew on the Katharina. They were most helpful, friendly and went out of their way to make sure we all enjoyed our time on board. I would especially like to mention our tour guide, Narto. We have travelled extensively and he would have to be one of the best tour leaders we have ever had. On the last day of our cruise we were transferred to the airport at Labuan Bajo. Narto accompanied us as he was travelling back to Bali. Unfortunately Garuda had to cancel our flight and we were obliged to stay overnight in Labuan Bajo. Even though he was no longer our tour leader, Narto helped all of us with changing connecting flights and getting us to the hotel, which Garuda supplied to us. He looked after everyone till we were all back on our flight to Bali the following day. Narto is a credit to your company. We are thinking of taking another SeaTrek holiday next year and would be interested in going on one with Narto as our leader again. Thank you for a most amazing holiday on Katharina. And please congratulate Narto on a job so very well done.We look forward to travelling with you again in the future.
My wife and I have just returned from a wonderful trip to the Spice Islands with Seatrek. We wish to highly commend the leadership of Caroline and Narto and the excellent contributions by Tony Whitten. They worked together very effectively and provided all of us with a great experience. All were very thoughtful and helpful, as were the crew of the ship. Everything exceeded our expectations. A special mention for Caroline as the coordinator as she made all of our experiences enjoyable and coped remarkably well with the problems beyond her control (such as the smoke which caused delays at the beginning of the trip). We will definitely be recommending SeaTrek to our friends.
…and we can’t forget the crew, because NO CREW was NO AMBIANCE for me! I was the closest with the crew … very funny and helpful people who can save a secret. In a few years (when I finished high school) I will come back and charter the boat.
Excellent crew, great snorkeling
Wonderful service, wonderful expertise, wonderful food!
Nice boat (although wind did not permit sailing) great crew, good combo of village visits, snorkeling, yummy food.
It was very special and memorable (especially with the help of Tony’s notes!) – I’m sure it will all come flooding back when you look at your photos. Tim and I tried to get durian in Makassar but it was apparently too wet. We also went to the butterfly park but as soon as we got inside the gates the heavens opened so no chance of seeing any butterflies or macaques, however when the car stopped for petrol on the way back into Makassar, we did see a butterfly (not the ornothoptera croesus) on a flowering bush at the petrol station, so all was not lost!
Tony, to me it still seems very real. The voyage was an overwhelming experience and I can’t thank you, Ari, the Seatrek team and all my fellow voyagers enough for making it so. I am most agreeably established in Phnom Penh, looking forward to meeting the FFI team later this morning, and Linde’s back in chilly London.
I don’t know about you, but the cruise already seems rather a dream and I have to keep looking at the photos to convince myself it was real. It seems that the Bela Hotel internet connection is too slow to upload or download much and so I fear it’ll be a couple of days before I can send you the YouTube links to the short films I did. Meanwhile, here are my notes from the trip with some names and GPS positions. I’ll let you know about the identifications of the specimens but this can take a long time. I hope you all have/are having a good trip home.
To the SeaTrek team – I wish all of you the very best for this coming year and would like to express my thanks for your e-mail as well as for my very special voyage aboard the ‘Ombak Putih’ in November last year. Please give my personal thanks to Dian Gafar, our tour guide for the Wallace II trip, for the friendly and efficient way he dealt with both the passengers and crew throughout the journey, it was an unforgettable experience.
Just a brief note to say how much we enjoyed our trip on Katharina in September. At the end of a two week land tour of Java and Bali, it was a wonderfully relaxing and entertaining week! Our Tour Director, Ari, was excellent and the trips arranged to see various sights were well planned. The whole of the crew of the Katharina were superb and we enjoyed the food very much. One day, we’ll do another trip!
The Ombak Putih voyage with Ian Burnet was the most marvellous thing I have ever done. I thought I knew Indonesia well, having been travelling there since 1967 and teaching the language all these years, but my eyes have been opened to a different world on this trip on your beautiful boat. Below, for your interest, is a summary of what I wrote about it which is from my Xmas letter to friends. I also wrote a ” ship’s log ” each day which is much longer! I wanted to record the details of this extraordinary experience. Caroline and Jenny were fantastic. And the wonderful crew! Speaking Indonesian meant I could get to know some of them, esp John and Made. In a thousand ways the crew were so helpful and kind to all of us oldies, esp helping us in and out of boats which was at times a challenge for me. Thank you for this amazing opportunity to sail aboard the Ombak Putih.
SeaTrek does things completely, so that you travel in elegant style to magic places. They are deservedly top of the range for yacht travel around the islands of Indonesia. We were a group of eleven friends on the ‘Circle of Spice’ tour with Janet de Neefe in November 2015. In our view the trip could not have been bettered. The ‘Ombak Putih’ yacht, the crew and expert staff gave much more than expected, so that each day was a delight. If you have an interest in spices and their history, we can’t imagine a better, or more appropriate way, to discover more. Very highly recommended.
