We never set out to build a cruise company. In fact, we don’t even like cruises – in the multi-story luxury extravaganza sense, that is. All we wanted was to sail and explore.

There’s no doubt you’ll remember the incredible underwater world, the changing landscapes, the feel of the warm deck under your bare feet, however, it will be the people and the stories you shared with them that will linger longest.

Our galley team takes real joy in crafting meals inspired by flavours from around the world, using the freshest ingredients—often gathered from local markets or fishermen we meet along the way. From vibrant vegetarian plates to kid-friendly favourites, everything is made with care, and most dietary needs are easily accommodated. Our pursers are always nearby with warm smiles, ready to serve meals, offer cold towels, pour fresh juices, or bring an ice-cold drink whenever you feel like one.

The People You’ll Meet

Indonesia is one of the most diverse places on Earth, home to more than 300 ethnic groups and nearly 700 languages. As we explore, we’ll give you many chances to meet the people who make these islands so extraordinary. We’ll wander through villages, visit schools and stately homes, and browse lively markets. You’ll watch weavers and blacksmiths at work, explore old forts and historic buildings, and see Pinisi boatbuilders shaping hulls by hand. And often, the best moments are the simple ones—sharing a smile, a story or a laugh with locals as they go about their day.

The Flora & Fauna You’ll See

Indonesia is a patchwork of lush jungles, dry savannahs, mangroves, coral atolls and volcanic peaks. These landscapes shelter an incredible mix of life—hornbills, cockatoos and birds of paradise; reefs alive with turtles, lion fish, and bright coral. And larger ocean giants like manta rays, whales and whale sharks. On land, you may meet orangutans, monkeys, tree kangaroos and the famed Komodo dragons. It’s the same astonishing biodiversity that once inspired Alfred Russel Wallace, and it continues to amaze today. With so much wonder above and below the water, SeaTrek is proud to bring you close to it all, right in the heart of these wild, untouched habitats.
